The County is determined to take advantage of local assets and state tax incentives to help your business succeed.

Johnson County and the surrounding region have long supported a skilled agricultural and food processing workforce. Disruptions in the food processing market in 2020 and 2021 has left much of the food processing workforce in Johnson County underemployed and ready for new investments in food processing. Johnson County Development Authority is partnered with USDA and the State of Georgia to ensure this industry continues to thrive in the area and food security for the region, state, and nation is bolstered.

The community is also becoming known as a safe-haven for businesses seeking a location with port-proximity but able to store sensitive materials and avoid weather-related disruptions. Located outside potential hurricane zones, Johnson County maintains two-hour access to both the Port of Savannah and Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Johnson County has also been designated as an Entrepreneur Friendly Community. Qualified entrepreneurs and small business owners in Johnson County are eligible for customized market data, such as demographic and business information, to provide a competitive edge.
